Hello Isabel, I have discovered quite a lot, spoken to Danish people on my Heritage about him, Erik Jorgen Ole rasmussen was born 1830, he was still in Denmark for 1860 Thruo Cencus then he crewed on a ship for Australia and jumped do not know which ship, lol, he married Charlotte Rowe he was Naturalised in 1896 died 1916 in Ballara had a large funeral as he was a GRAND in the I.O.O.F Ballarat really merged in the Aussie way of life. Danish relatives are happy as they now know what happened to their missing relation and have a death date for him. So today he would be imprisoned and deported Blimey we are from a refugee PMSL. He is my hero.

Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / Re: from Danish to English plz if possible
« on: Saturday 08 August 15 14:11 BST (UK)  »
Hello Isabel it has been a few years since my last post, This Erich born in Thuro is the right one I went to My Heritage and found him there in family Rasmus Olsen trouble is there were a few Rasmus Olsens, but found where the right one was when they never had a death Date for him as they never knew he had come to Australia and I knew it was right as Erich had named all his children after his brothers and sisters, so it has been a long search but at least could go back to abt 1730 to his grt grandfather Olle Jorgensen, I thank you for your help

Isabel you are a marvel, where do you look to find these things, I have been searching for years, but no luck until this, I am trying to find when my 2nd great Grandfather who was Olsens Son he came to australia,  he was

Erich Jorgenole Rasmussen
Birth 1831 in Kobenhavn - Denmark
Death 21 Dec 1916 in Sebastopol, Victoria, Australia

On his death Cert, it says Erik not Erich so I do not know which one is correct, and it says his Father is Olsen Rasmussen and his Mother Kirstine Larsen
Erick married Charlotte Rowe in 1862 in Victoria Australia, so he came well before 1862, I do not know if you are able to help with this.
