Good morning all.
I have found the above index (British Isles Vital Records Index) available to purchase from "LDS  BIRMINGHAM" at a cost of £22.95
Phone number is  0121 785 2200
Don't buy from America as the CD's don't work here. I shall be calling them on Monday and update you all further. I will help other people with their research when I get it as I have been helped. This second edition came out in 2002.

Cheers

London and Middlesex / Edward Pinnell 1812
« on: Monday 31 December 18 14:26 GMT (UK)  »
Afternoon all.
I'm trying to find the marriage of the parents of Edward Pinnell born 20th March 1812 baptised 16th August 1812 St George, Hanover Square Middlesex. On the Westminster baptism transcription it gives his parents as Edward and Ann. The only marriage I can find is 18th August 1811 in Yarmouth to a Ann Cabill.

Can anyone find any other, please? If anyone can find Edward's (Ann) year of birth that would be good too.

Thank you

Maggie

Northamptonshire / Edna M. Nicholls Born March q.1912 Thrapston
« on: Monday 03 September 18 18:28 BST (UK)  »
Evening all.
I'm helping a friend with some research and I wondered if you could help.

Edna was born to James Nicholls and Maud Popham March q. 1912 in Thrapston. My friend was told that Edna was brought up by her Grandparents Arthur and Louisa Popham in Wellingborough and would like to find out if this is true and why. I'm not sure where to search for this so I wondered if anyone can help.

Thanks

Nottinghamshire / Charlotte & Ivan Rodgers
« on: Thursday 16 August 18 14:08 BST (UK)  »
Afternoon all. This will get the braincells working!

On the 1939 census, Charlotte and Ivan have 4 children, May, William, Eliza and Shirley with one record closed. When I had a look at the actual form, May is "May Haywood", Eliza is "Eliza Smith"
,and Shirley is "Shirley Marriot". Any explanations anyone, please? I thought adopted....evacuees...?

Many thanks
Maggie
