Thank you so much for your help again.  What a shame that the child only lived a few months.  I obviously cannot see what I'm looking for when I trawl through Family Search doh  ::)
Warm Regards, Sparham

Hi Priscilla

Unfortunately I could not access the link regarding Mary's 2 siblings.   I have trawled through FamilySearch without any result.  Could you list this info for me?   Really sorry to be such a pest.

Malcolm, thank you for your useful information set out in terms that I can understand.   I also remember the Ice Man and Cheddar Man dna tests.  I remember people being told that they could trace back to the Cheddar Man - awesome stuff.

Hello all, hope you are enjoying the Easter Bank Holiday even if the temperatures are rather low.  I wonder if anyone can help with this one.

My 5 times Great Grandfather William Mills b. 1732 in Blickling Norfolk, died 1807 and buried at Horsham, St Faith, Norfolk, married Mary Hoogan Drake who is my 5 x Gt Grandmother.  You would think with a name like "Hoogan" in the equation, she would be easy to find.  I have searched all my known resources and am coming up with a blank.  The marriage took place 22nd Nov, 1758 at St Michael's Aysham, Norfolk.

Here is what I know about her (which is very little)

Mary Hoogan Drake b. abt 1736 and that is the sum total of my knowledge.   ::)

I am wondering if there are any Irish connections.   Can anyone shed some light???

Many thanks, Sparham

Berlin Bob, thanks for the info.    Fascinating stuff - I reckon that that is exactly what the Widders were - sheep farmers probably.

Hi Janey

Philip has a sister Susannah and I have her born in 1815 but I have no other info on her.   I wonder if she is the same Susannah b. 1803 that you mention.   What puts me off of the description is "pauper" which this family certain wearn't.   Philip's daughter Susannah was born in 1835.   This is a great puzzler for sure and thank you for your help and observations on this.  I have the bit between my teeth and must delve into Susannah Snr
