Hi there,

I know that these ancestors were married in 1891. I know that Priscilla was born in 1871 and James was born in 1867. I'm pretty confident that the date of this photo is mid 1890's but i cannot work out what the occasion may be? - I do not have the original so i cannot ascertain the actual size or any other identifying features... A restore and colour / sepia would be much appreciated so i can rightly display them in the Family bible...

Hi There,

If it's possible you could scan the image at a higher resolution (ie 300dpi) the restorers will have more 'pixels' to work with. At its current resolution you will not get the best results.

Hi everyone,

I think that this 'studio' photo of my grandmother was rather  'botched' to say the least by the original photographer who tried to 'hand colour' the image. If you examine it closely you will see he tried to reduce the size of her lips and made quite a mess... She had full lips, very dark hair (if not black) and deep brown eyes and i would love to see this image 'rectified and restored' - Having received your many impressive restorations i hope it can be 'rectified'  Many Thanks in anticipation.

Hi,

This image would appear to be early 1860's and given the fact she was born in 1842 this could well be a 21st Birthday photograph.
