Thank you Datton for the information, my real interest is the Wolfe side. A Martha Wolfe married William Nichols in 1769 at Dry Drayton.
Thank you

I am not a professional researcher even though I have done a lot of it for myself , friends and colleagues which has been very satisfying. I do not charge for this help I give them, only for certs etc. I enjoy it when I find extras for them not just names it isnt easy but that is what I enjoy. I have been researching my famllies since I was in my early thirties I am now in my late 50 so I think I have learnt a lot in that time. I may when I retire start researching for other people but with a charge, what do you all think? or is it not very lucrative now there is such a lot of information on the internet. Even though you cant beat searching in the originals ???

I do know what you mean, its just that you used the example of Wolfe which was unfortunate. Then you get the opposite when they wont except that there was a name change. Oh well all to their own
Sheila ;)

Hello I have looked into your Jabez and Eliza and cannot find any connection as yet but it is possible as kirtling is in Cambridgeshire and my Stubbings came from Gt Wilbraham which isn't far away and Cowlinge is on the Suffolk Border just over from Cambridgeshire. Jabez married late in life he was born abt. 1830/3 in Kirtling and in 1881 he was 48 and Eliza 25 I cannot find them having any children his father was David Stubbing and his mother Harriot. I have Eliza's father as William I do not know who her mother was. Davids father was also a David his father was a Jabez.
Hope this helps
bye Sheila
