Yeah you can never really tell whats right.
His wife that was named as Ann Daley on their marriage record had her age down as 19( making her born 1836) but on her headstone and death notice in 1913 she was Nora mcKenzie 82 years old ( which would make her born around 1831)

Wow! :o how odd in news clippings from his sons marriage  Kenneth was  Kenneth McKenzie from Greenock and his sons Golden anniversary he was From Invernessshire......also 29 in 1870s that wouldnt work he would of been in his 40s unless he lied  ::)

John was born 1862 and Elizabeth was born in 1861
john was 77 when he passed away and elizabeth was 87

My aunt was emailed this a year ago but wasnt told if it had anything written on the back. i would say your really close though :)

Thanks debra,  :)

from my last treads ive learnt that Kenneth was a watch house keeper, overseer, petty constable and Constable but sometime after  his daughter Adas birth in 1867 he went to Nsw  while he was still married to my ggg grandmother mary Ann(Nora/Ann). i also know he died between 1886 after his sons marriage(my gg grandfather) and before his daughters marriage in 1898.
we have also worked out kenneth wife had three children George, Tasman and Ethel to George Jarvis son of William jarvis  ::)
