Hi
I was wondering if anyone can tell me is it possible to find on the 1891 Census, Henry Short and his children John,Emily, James, Samuel and Nellie. We are not sure who his wife was at this time. They were as far as we know in St George in the East,  London.
If it is possible love to hear from you. We have sent for the birth certificate of child John to see who his mother is but we are a bit impatient hasn't arrived yet just thought someone might be able to find them on the 1891 census. We have them on the 1901 census his wife mary A. But not the 1891, we think he may have had a 1st wife before Mary A.

Thanks heaps

Cheshire Lookup Requests / THOMAS EDWARD JOHNSON - 1820 BIRTH
« on: Thursday 08 September 05 03:48 BST (UK)  »
HI

I was wondering if anyone can help with this query that I have.
THOMAS EDWARD JOHNSON was born in 1820 he was christened at St Oswalds, Malpas. He is registered there as the son of George and Elizabeth Johnson.

His marriage register 1842 at St Oswalds has no father listed.
He was born seven years after George and Elizabeths previous child. I am beginning to wonder if he may not have been their biological child. I was wondering how I can solve this query
If anyone can help I would really appreciate it.

Thanks heaps

« on: Tuesday 30 August 05 03:37 BST (UK)  »
Hi Everyone

This is probably a silly question with little information but i'm trying to trace a Henry Short don't know who his parents were only that they came from Ireland to the England. Can't find him on census till 1901. But we know he had children in the 1880's they were born in Whitechapel but can't find them on census 1891.  Anyone with an explanation.

Thanks heaps

Hi
I am trying to find a Henry Short and his family. I have no way of finding his birth or marriage until I can find him on a census I don't know who his parents are as yet. On his son, Williams birth certificate it states Williams mother, Marys residence as 14 Lower Chapman Street. I am wondering if someone could look up on the 1891 British Census to see who lived at this address.  This maybe where the Short Family lived.  :)
Thanks Heaps
