I'm looking for John Croucher REVELL born March 1/4 1885 in Elham district in the 1891 and/or 1901 census. He married my grandmothers sister Harriett CHEESEMAN in Bridge register office in 1911, his residence given as Waltham. There is no father shown for John on the marriage certificate.

I'm looking to find Walter Charles BUTCHER who would have been 18 in 1901 and obviously 8 in 1891, father George, farm labourer.
Walter married my Elizabeth CHEESEMAN in 1911 in Petham, his residence given as same.

I do have a lot of background info on the Youldon's - definitely spelt with a Y on the English side of the pond! As well as the info on Maria and her ten children!

As an aside from your posting re the Newby's - I have Maria Manners YOULDON marrying into my Meldrum family. I believe Maria born 1875 was another daughter of John Cornish Youldon and Jane Rogers. Maria age 6 appears in the 1881 census as visiting my Meldrum's - she's shown as GOULDON!
Other siblings were Jane Ann 1860, Sarah 1863, John 1868 and Elizabeth 1872, and of course Isabelle.
Another of my Meldrum's is visiting Jane Rogers age 74, in the 1881 census - I believe this Jane is Maria's grandma, mother to John Cornish's wife Jane.
I can certainly give you all the details of Maria if you'd like and I'd be interested in the immediate details of your Isabelle.

Thanks for trying! I was erring on the cautious side concerning the youngest daughter! I'm presuming she is John's which as you say would narrow down the time frame for his death, but just in case......
As for not finding them in 1871 - YOULDON is a horrible name in as much as it can be enumerated wrong in so many ways! Another daughter Maria age 6 in 1881 is shown as GOULDON.
