Sorry it's been a while since I've checked back. I got married last year and changed my email address (finally) but I've since updated my profile again with a working address. :)

ML123 I wish I had more information to share with you but they are all new to me. I'll keep plugging along when I've got the time and see what I can find. Here's crossing my fingers.

Oh my god! Thanks so much guys lol. Since I started this hobby in high school I have always got so much help from message boards I'm always amazed. I will take some time to take a look over this and see if I can expand.

It it is so greatly appreciated as this has been a ancestor that has stumped the hell out of me for a very long time.

Shropshire / Thomas Parry Heighway of Clun

Hi there,

I am curious to find out if anyone is able to tell me anything about Thomas Parry Heighway b. 1811 in Clun, Shropshire, England. I have been able to locate him in 1851, 1871, and 1881 census and he lived at Cockford Hall for a number of those censuses.

I have been able to located children: Thomas F. Heighway, William Henry Heighway, Mary Heighway, Elizabeth Heighway, and Richard Heighway but have not been able to find reference to a wife anywhere or any parents for that matter.

My connection is through his son William who married a Mary, last name unknown, and had children: Thomas Parry, Elizabeth Mary, and Martha Sophia. They eventually wound up in the Aymestry, Herefordshire area before Elizabeth married Richard Neighbour and immigrated to Canada. Not having a lot of luck going forward on those left in ENG either.

Would appreciate meeting up with any family or interested parties as I have lots of info to share on all the family here in Canada!

Robin

Cavan / Re: Wilson's in County Cavan

I'm curious if you folks know anything about Thomas K. Wilson (ca. 1830-1862) and Elizabeth Thompson (ca. 1830-bef. 1901). Both were born in Co. Cavan immigrated with their four sons to Quebec, Canada ca. 1862. He died at sea and she took the kids alone to Quebec and then remarried to William Maxwell. The four sons are: Andrew (1853-1929), Edward (1854-1927), William (1855-1922), and Thomas Kewatin (1861-1938).

I did some searching on Roots Ireland and found a Thomas Wilson b. 1829 in Knockbride to John and Jane Wilson, and a Elizabeth Thomson b. 1832 in Cavan to William Thomson and Bridget Keoan but I don't know if they are a match.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
