As part of question 6 it asks ever lived in Canada? Address....  can anyone decipher please.

I think part of it maybe htl, short for hotel, but not coming up with anything for the word before and tried various google attempts for Vancouver hotels.

I have the copy of the will fraud, in which one of the ladies nurses was filling in blank cheques as I recall!

Would love to see all the other notices, especially the wedding one mentioned.

Many thanks

I live in Bournemouth and from time to time visit the Dorset History centre. I am planning a visit in the near future, but can't say exactly when.

Thanks Roger, I am in no rush whatsoever, so providing you do have some spare time during your next visit that would be very helpful.

Dorset Lookup Requests / Obituary Look-Up Local Bournemouth Newspapers 1954

I am hoping to find an obituary for a Dr Anthony McCall in any of the local Bournemouth newspapers of the time.

His date of death was 30.09.1954 and he had lived and worked in Bournemouth since 1899 and so think there is a good possibility there might be one.

I do have his obituary from the British Medical Journal 15.10.1954 issue, but was hoping to find a newspaper version. I also have his national probate index entry.

I believe the newspaper archives are accessible at Dorset History Centre but I live a long way away and it is 35.00 for a search!

Thank you.

Lanarkshire / Lookup request University of Glasgow Archives
« on: Saturday 30 September 17 17:14 BST (UK)  »
I will just put this one out there in the hope someone who lives locally may be heading to the University of Glasgow Archives at some point down the line for their own research and could kindly spare some time.

I am interested in the student record of my relative a Dr Anthony McCall (born 5th October 1868), who attended as a medical student from session 1884/1885 until his graduation in 1889 and then returned in 1899.

There are some records as confirmed by the free search conducted by the staff but next stage is a hefty 50 plus VAT.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

US Completed Requests / Where did Marguerite McLarty die?
« on: Sunday 27 August 17 23:15 BST (UK)  »
This is one of my most frustrating brick walls that I come back and try and crack every now and again, hoping 2017 is going to be the year (with a little help)!

Marguerite McLarty was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1904 to David & Alma McLarty.
I can pick her up to the 1940 census still living in Milwaukee with just her mother (following divorce of Alma and David years earlier). Marguerites occupation is given as teacher at a public school.

Marguerites father David died in 1951 and in his obituary it stated Marguerite died in 1945.  As she lived in Milwaukee her whole life and didn't seemingly marry it seemed logical to think this was where she had died.  I contacted a local volunteer for Milwaukee through RAOGK who kindly picked up the search for her death and eventually confirmed no death for Marguerite in Milwaukee.

I would appreciate any assistance to confirm death was definitely in 1945, where and then hopefully I could home in on a death notice or obituary.  Marguerites mother did not die until 1968.

Thank you.
