Lancashire / Re: Arnold Ainsworth Blackwell b1891

Hi Simon,
Arnold Ainsworth Blackwell (b 1 Mar 1891) would have been my 2nd cousin 2x removed. I have him married in 1921 at St Peters, Chorley to Pheobe Maria Hewins and have one child for them Margaret Walters Blackwell in 1929.
I have a death for Pheobe but am at a loss of what happened to Margaret or Arnold. I found a probate record for an Arnold Ainsworth Blackwell in Ireland, Dublin I think.

So you are Arnold's grandson?

Michael

Hey, I am trying to find out more about my Great Uncle James Edward Phillips, I have found him up until 1911 where he is a border living with is brother and his grandad but I cannot find any marriage record for him, no death record or anything post 1911. Just wondering if anyone could help in any way to find a marriage or death for him or even anything!

Thankyou in advance, Michael

Lancashire / Samuel Johnston b.1888 d.1940 (Westmorland)
« on: Sunday 03 August 14 18:30 BST (UK)  »
hi guys,
I am looking for some more information relating to Samuel Johnston. I am struggling to find him before his marriage in 1915.

He was married in 1915 in Westmorland to Essie Pearson, his father was Thomas Johnston.
Samuel is down as doing farm service and his father is down as being a Blacksmith.
I have seen a few family trees which suggest Samuel was born in Ireland but non of them have any sources or facts to support this. I am just wondering if anyone would be able to try and help and find him in 1911. I have Samuel down as living at Kidande Farm in Milnthorpe in 1915 (spelling probably wrong).

Any help would be kindly appreciated :)

Lancashire Lookup Requests / Re: St Wilfrid Ribchester Lookup

I know Heather, there is a website which states there are grave inscriptions available for that church. There are some records which dont have a grave listed possibly due to transcription errors for lan-opc which is why I wanted a lookup possibly at the library or if anyone has the records available or maybe even if anyone lives near there would be able to take a picture. But thanks anyway Heather :)

Hi Guys,
I was wondering if someone would be able to do a look up request for me.
I know there are some grave inscriptions for most of the graveyard for the time I want and was wondering who else is buried in my relatives grave.

I am looking for my greatx3 grandad and grandma Jabcob Whalley and Elizabeth (Betty) Whalley.

Jacob was buried 13 Apr 1885 in grave 11/15
Betty was buried 24 Apr 1890 in grave 11/15.

I  would like to know if there is an inscription to see who is in the grave or even better if someone is going possibly a photograph of the grave (if there is a headstone).

I live in Blackburn and would normally try and get there myself but I am working in France for the next few months which is quite annoying as I really want to find out more :)

Thankyou in advance
