Hi James, have not looked into this family for a long while. I have all info on Harriet my line. On 1851 census mentioned above there is a poss that William was living next door to a brother Thomas.  I have no sub at mo as let lapse.

Baptism, Selattyn 25 Dec 1807
Thomas Lloyd son of William and Mary b. 20 December. Abode - Ty coch. William a farmer.

Curious to know what happened to Eliza?  Have you traced any other of her siblings?

Just my thoughts, from lookin up family on census.

1871 census has the family as Daro on Ancestry. John Conway c1865 with family was likely firstborn out of wedlock as they married 1867.

He took the name Conway, if John Duroe was his father that would also make him a Duroe & also his Daughter Esther May Conway. So I do not think they adopted her, she is a granddaughter to Mary and possibly John Duroe.

1871 on familysearch
Mary Conway   Head   Female   64   Wirksworth, Derbyshire
John Duro   Son-in-law   Male   31   Denby, Derbyshire
Mary Duro   Daughter   Female   24   Idridgehay, Derbyshire
John Conway   Grandson   Male   6   Idridgehay, Derbyshire
Mary E Duro   Granddaughter   Female   3   Idridgehay, Derbyshire
Samuel Duro   Grandson   Male   1   Idridgehay, Derbyshire

1901 she is with parents age 3, John & Cicily Conway with a number of siblings in Brecon.

Looks like she maybe niece to Mary nee Conway ?

John born Derby, c1865 occ. Goods guard.  Family still in Brecon 1911 with additional children, no Esther May with them.
