Hi Stan, Yeh, Bring it on!! My e.mail is   (*)     Its Jim here, Jim Preston, I lived most of my life in Winsford, in St Georges Rd. I recently had contact on Friends reunited with an Alan Fleet, he was at the grammar school and I was at the secondary school next door at the same time (1960's) I should think he is probably a closer relative.  My younger brother Ray was best mates with another Alan Fleet from Dene cottages, he wrote a book which was published called "wooleybacks" dont know if you have heard of it, it is a story of characters from winsford in his life and features my brother and my dad also (he used pseudenyms.....god how do you spell that word?????) I have traced back to Ralph Fleet b 1785 in Tiverton.  My Prestons go back to 1602 in Warmingham and I discovered that I have Prestons on my Maternal and Paternal sides who were related and in fact my mum, whose gran was Vron Preston was fourth cousin to my dad whose gran was Martha Fleet....complicated!!! confused !!!!  I was.  regards Jim

Hi Stan, Wow that took a long tim e, I cant really remember my reason for my post other than my husband is researching his tree, His name is Preston, from Winsford Cheshire, His great grandfather Joseph Preston B 1861 married Martha Fleet of Wharton , her father was William Fleet, married to a Elizabeth Brandan.  Josephs sister, Elizabeth Preston married Martha Fleets brother, John.  My Husband also has Cooksons on his maternal side(grandmother was Ethel Cookson, from Hartford) Are you still doing research?? and do the above names come into it at all??        regards Kassi

Hi, I remember my father saying that when he was in the Airforce training, his squadron leader was David Niven, from what I can remember I think this was in America (Florida) Does anyone have any ideas as to which this squadron was.  Thanks Kassi
