Can anyone find the burial of Joseph Pavis baptized 1760 Burwell married 1784 Soham, 3 children all baptized Burwell 1784,1786,1789.
His wife Ann nee Williamson was buried at Burwell 29 March 1831 age 71.
I cannot find him on the 1841 census only his son Joseph 1784 married to Susan nee Cook.

William Martin married at Islington Hornsey Rise 8 December 1805
They have three children found so far  Jemima 1806, William 1808, Martha 1810 baptized St Andrew Enfield.
He disappears ….
This is the beginning of the mystery.
Burial of Jemima Martin wife of William Martin alias wife of Thomas Merrington labourer 23July 1824 age 36 address Baker Street. St Andrew Enfield.
I looked into children of Thomas and Jemima the comment by the cleric for the daughter Charlotte
November 1820 St Andrew (named only not baptized)
" Martin left his family a soldier, his wife then ? Thomas Merrington and some years a fool Martin returned to this parish burial 1607"
1607 is the reference number to Jemima's burial of 1824.  One word I cannot read and by" Martin returned to this parish" must refer to Jemima as he gives her burial reference.

So where did William Martin go? Did he desert or just move to his next post and not take the family.

Suffolk / THOMPSON, Charlotte and Benjamin
« on: Wednesday 30 October 19 07:56 GMT (UK)  »
Charlotte circa 1823 and Benjamin circa 1820 can be found with their father David Thompson 1841 census of Coggeshall Essex non of the Thompson's are born in County.

1851 David Thompson stated born Upson Suffolk which I think is Ubbeston Suffolk.

Charlotte who becomes Charlotte Thurgar 1845 and Benjamin alternately state born Norfolk or Cavendish Suffolk.

Can anyone find these 2 children of David and ?? baptized in Suffolk please.

Note Mary in 1841 census is not their mother she is Mary Theedom widow nee Martin who married David Thompson Widower 20 March 1840 in Coggeshall Essex.

« on: Thursday 16 May 19 10:02 BST (UK)  »
Does anyone have a sub to FindMyPast please, trying to sort out the John Jaques from John Jeakes both became Coach makers.

I have the John Jaques of 1767 apprentice record, this is the wrong one.

There is a London apprenticeship abstract on FindMyPast dated 1758 under John Jeakes

I'm hoping this is the right one.

Thanks in advance

Norfolk / Will of Norman Mace 1794 at NRO
« on: Thursday 08 November 18 22:48 GMT (UK)  »
Norman Mace of Catfield probate 1794, ref: folio 182 (1794 no. 40)

If anyone is going to the NRO can you do a lookup please.
Does he mention a daughter Hannah?

I have seen the will of Hannah Mace 1820 on Norfolk Sources  it mentions property of the late Norman Mace but gives no relationship, she leaves it to John Mace but yet again does not give a relationship.
If Hannah (1820)  is Norman Mace's spinster daughter she had 2 brothers Roger, James 2 who lived to adulthood
Edited re names of brothers
