Gloucestershire Lookup Requests / Gloucestershire burial request 1923
« on: Friday 22 July 16 16:42 BST (UK)  »
Hello

I am looking to find the resting place of an ancestor.  Her name was Kathleen B M Horton and she was born in the quarter Jan - March 1923 in Lea Bailey. She died in same quarter  and year and I'd like to know where she was buried and if she was a few days or months old.

Many thanks to anyone who can help.

Sophie

A trip to records office confirmed no baptisms in and around Foy, so not only no birth certificate but no christening, the price of being illegitimate! :(

Thank you Mike for taking the time to have a look though, much appreciated.  :D

Please would you mind sending me the link you used as not having much joy.  Thank you

Thank you for taking the time to look, I do appreciate it.   :)

Where did you look if you don't mind me asking as I can't find Herefordshire baptisms online?  I'm wondering if How Caple might be an option.......

Kind regards

Do you have access? Thank you !  ;D ;D

Well Doran.....it's like this.  My grandmother, Kathleen, was born in Hole in the Wall, which is in the parish of Foy? She had no birth certificate because, long story short, her mother was married, but my grandma wasn't the baby of her husband :o.  She had Kathleen on her own, never even registered her.

A christening might be our hope of finding out - long shot - who her dad was.

Her name was Kathleen Bick, she was born on 6th June 1914.  Maybe she was christened straight away, maybe not.  Her mum was Alice Bick, nee Goode, herself of Brampton Abbotts and Foy.

Thanks for your interest!

Hello

I wonder if anyone would have access to the above records.  If not, I guess a trip to the records office is required!

Thanks for reading

Herefordshire Completed Look up Requests / Leominster grave - not there!
« on: Thursday 13 August 15 16:13 BST (UK)  »
Hello

I went to find my relative's grave in plot G, number 166 today....except it wasn't there, in fact a whole load of numbers were missing.  Really disappointing after searching for him, thinking I had got somewhere and then there is no sign of the grave 😢
