Thanks for the prompt reply,  will check,  but I don't think it is a branch of our family as they never lived in Lancashire.  As far as I know they lived in or around the Wigton area,  John at the age of 22 married at Wigton Reg Office.

  I am trying to trace his parents which I am finding it hard to do as he never listed his parents on his marriage certificate.  I think he must have had a falling out with his father as the tale goes down the line his father did not want him to marry his wife Elizabeth.

Thanks anyway, I will keep trying, I am still only new at this.

Please could someone do a 1871 Lookup  for John Taylor he would have been aged 10yrs old at the time of the census.  He was born 1861 Cumberland, could have been Wigton.

Sorry Pam, my John Taylor was married to Elizabeth Matilda (nee Beattie) in Wigton 1883.  Their children were William b., Mary b.1885, Margaret b.1887,  Sarah 1889. John Taylor did die before the 1891 census however.

This is my fist posting and hope I am doing it right.

Could someone do a lookup in the 1871 census in Cumberland for John Taylor born 1861.  I think he could have been born in Wigton Cumberland.

I would appreciate any help, Thank you.
