New Zealand Completed Requests / Re: Mavis Luta Mcpherson
« on: Tuesday 07 February 23 01:14 GMT (UK)  »

I have a record for Mavis Luta PALMER divorcing Thomas Edward PALMER in 1943 (Archives NZ - file restricted until 2043 ).

Decree nisi pronounced in 1943 on the ground of separation

I see that Mavis is using HOOD as a surname in 1952

When I go to the National Library Australia website, I click on "eResources", then click on "For full access, login with your National Library card details" which brings me to the log in page. Type in the "User ID" (14 digit number on my Card) and "Family Name", and accept the license agreement. Then "Browse eResources" and click on "Newsbank".

Hope that makes sense.

Quite a few advertisements for the "Speed Photo Co" at 122 Ocean Rd, South Shields. From about 1906.

I think he looks a little younger - late 20s? (Could well be wrong though!)

Lots of mentions of Hannibal BOND in old newspapers if you have access. Also William Lucas BOND's goods (except wearing apparel) were assigned for benefit of his creditors in 1864. He was of South Molton, saddler and harness maker.
