The Common Room / Re: The 1921 Census - WHAT A RIP-OFF

I haven't really bothered with the 1921 census as there is only one person I really needed to search for and I haven't found him on there. His wife and kids yes, but him, no. So still no nearer finding what happened to him

Hi Millie

Yes that's him in the 1881 census. In 1891, his wife Elizabeth and daughters clementeen and Lititia are at Ashfield Suffolk. John and Elizabeth married in wanstrow Somerset in 1858. They moved to wales by 1865 as Thomas was born in Pwllheli at that time. Clementeen was born in Ffestiniog in 1867, john in llanrwst in 1869 and lititia in Bangor in 1871.

Hi wilcoxon

Thank you for finding the articles.

It could be Cathy. I've only seen the 1878 adverts up until now for the business. I also know that by 1891 the wife and children were in Suffolk, but I haven't found him on the 1891 census yet

Hi all.

I am looking for information and address of "The North Wales Mineral Water Manufactory, Bangor John Stacey and Co.'s" I have seen a couple of adverts from about 1878 in the North Wales Chronicle on line at newspaper library Wales, but neither of the adverts have an address.

Regards

Jon

Hi all

I can see on ancestry a Frederick hopcraft on US Departing passengers and crew list 1914-1966 from New York and a UK incoming with arrival in Southampton. Will have to look tomorrow for more details as am not on a computer at the moment

Hi

Would have had a different number in the 10th. There is another thread on here somewhere that explains how the system worked and the date it was changed to the soldier keeping the same number. If I can refind the thread I'll post the link
