Thru lines are now showing correctly  to the person who linked her tree on Sunday
& To a new match

But thru line possibilities have disappeared for one set of my cousin's great grandparents since I altered them last week . He only has 6 great grandparents on the thru line by ancestor parameters
This has happened before but always recalculated after a few days . I wonder why the "new" great grandparents have not shown up yet 😕

Update . My nephew tested so I now have 3 generations of my own to compare not to mention a cousin from each of my mother's sisters .

Definitely shows big differences of who inherits what

I like this illustration

Also have a JONES match from further down the line ( common ancestors great great grandparents)who has a son granddaughters&  great great  nephew & great great niece who have tested .

His first " cousin " whose birth father was unknown can be assured of his lineage because the cm amounts match the range to each generation
It's interesting to compare which generations match

Update
In touch with a great granddaughter of Joseph EDEN. 1906

He married Menetta CULSHAW nor Martha Southern so the above  is a different Joseph EDEN.

Joseph EDEN b1906 has a living son age 90 so we are going to put cousins in touch and hopefully find out more about this generation.

yes i manage other trees+ dna too

so maybe step2 needs rewording as somewhere the person who has tested dna has to be linked to a tree for thru lines to appear .

Update the daughters Mary E  Dorothy were born in Pietermaritzburg natal south Africa
& There was a still birth in 1909
In south Africa too

The parents were not married until 1915 when James Cornthwaite was diagnosed with TB so probably in order for Emma to get widows pension
No records found in south Africa for the births but the children were baptized with surname Cornthwaite on return
The last child born over a year after James death
May have been child of Emma's future husband Fred SMITH

1 grandchild was very shocked to find that the grandmother had had births before and after marriage . Other grandchildren refused to believe it at the time .

My grandmother told me that she'd met granddad at a wedding and that they were some kind of cousins

I've been looking for connections for ages .

Finally found his elder sister marrying her cousin ...so they were related by marriage .!
