The marriage record is on ancestry. Put James Thompson, marriage 1904, Ontario Canada in ancestry and it should pop right up for you. As I indicated when I posted the transcript originally (reply #1) it is the registrar’s record and is 2 pages.

It should also be on the familysearch website but I didn’t look there myself.

Okey dokey.

The issue in the tree seems to be with the parents of James 1864-1925 who married Catherine Faughnan in 1904. The marriage record indicates his parents are Henry Thompson and Mary Ann Lawson (see back to reply number one). The parents for Catherine are fine.

The marriage record for James Harry Thompson and Marietta Jeanette Cataford should also be on the familysearch website which is free to use in case you don’t have access to Canadian records on ancestry.

You find Williams baptism info on your other thread. There will be no certificate, just the church record. Quebec didn’t have civil registration at that point in time. He was born 09 Apr 1909.

Father James Henry Lawson (alias Thompson) (that’s what the image says)
Mother Catherine Faughnan
At Cathedrale l’Assomption in North Bay

From Ontario, Canada, Catholic Church Records (Drouin Collection). Image is on ancestry indexed as Lawson, not sure about familysearch.

So date of birth appears correct on FreeBMD but wrong year. And a different name too. I think a lot of people would find these sort of differences somewhere in their family tree.

Very interesting family!
