I might add this here in the interest of those following

I am still chasing Richard down and while I am happy with the dates 1793-1865 and his marriage to Alice Robson etc - its the origin that has stumped me and continues to do so

Every now and then I enter names and dates and see what comes up and for some reason I looked closely at a middle name I had tried to chase down - an entry Richard White Blackstone baptised 1/1/1794 in Shaftesbury Dorset had me looking everywhere for coinciding death- ie to eliminate

I couldnt find one - ok . I also noted some family trees list RW Blackstone as husband to Alice and son of Richard and Jane (Preston)

That might explain why no death note

Until I looked at Dorset OPC - 3 churches in Shaftesbury , Trinity, St James and St Peter

Scroll scroll scroll - nope no Blackstone - look at 1794 closely and in St James I see a few Blackmores - Rev Richard Blackmore and wife Jane

1794 Richard White child of Richard Rev. & Jane Blackmore of Silton baptized 1-Jan born 11 8 1791

Looking for a corresponding death I see

Blackmore    Richard White    90    Tisbury    5a   111

Fits name and age

ie Richard White Blackstone is NOT the head of the Australian line.

I keep searching and I hope it helps others looking at this later

As noted for those with NPEs it may help narrow choices

Parent 1 for me has to be my dad as his Irish is proven and the larger contributor. Alternatively my mothers Scottish side is well represented on Parent 2.
