I also just found Charles Rodius on wikipedia mentioning both names. Saying he was born in Cologne, Germany.

Hello
People could change their name just by telling people; documentation was not needed to prove who you were.
I have several ancestors who changed their name (in England) in between census years with no obvious reason or official paperwork.

Each person has their own story to tell be it an eventful day or not.
It is also Mothers' Day here.

Apparently so.
Sunday is generally a quiet day for me too but I generally add comments about how things have changed in the past year; recent events that I feel should be noted and so on.

Where does the time go? It is almost time for Mass Observation Day, 12 May - Sunday.
So, prepare to record your day and other comments for the archive.

Still twiddling thumbs with any communication from Finders or any solicitors.
However, a parcel of photos (and possibly other personal items) has just been delivered to one of my brothers, from the care home, and he has just shared a wedding photo of the lady in question with other members of the family. I am really pleased with that.
