Does anyone know where/what N.K. (Dev) means with regard to Official Number Port Division, Branch of Service - Mercantile Marine Reserve.

Possibly Devonport?
Thanks

Hi - trying to find any information re the above chappie.  What was his first name, where was he born?  I know he died on the Princess Irene and that he was a Fireman.
Any help would be most helpful. Thanks

Good morning.  I wonder if anyone can help?  I need to find out the names of the crew members of the HMS Princess Irene for a project I am helping with.  I have 9 chaps names but only their first initial and surname.  Have looked on Ancestry and not been able to come up with them - any assistance would be most helpful. TIA

Family History Beginners Board / Bigamy Trials 1881 ish
« on: Wednesday 11 March 15 15:35 GMT (UK)  »
Hi All

This week 'despair' and others pointed me in the right direction as to my gggm Elizabeth Hassell/Bryan.  At the same time, it was found that her sister Georgina Hassell had committed Bigamy 3 times and taken to court.  The case was sent to the Public Prosecutor about 1881 but I can't find any mention of the outcome.

If someone can advise me as to where I can find this info I would be most grateful.  I have found notice of the case in the Rhyl Advertiser and the Teesdale papers but nothing further.

Tia.

I am so very grateful to all that have posted information on here.  BIG thank you.  You have unearthed more in two hours that I have in 5 years!.
Please could you tell me how to print off the page from the newspaper - I have tried but it just prints off in sections, and some of the digitalised info on the rhd is a bit fractured due to the siftward being unable to decipher some of the images????
I am not one to used social media 'speak' (I used lol as lots of love and wondered why I keep getting funny comments!!!!!!! ) but Blimey!!!
Thanks again and if you find anything else - I will be equally grateful

Hi - thanks for replying.  As you can see from post above - I have all the information prior to 1881 - need to know what happened to Elizabeth and girls after that date. Many thanks for your input.

Hi - thanks for this.  I know about this info on Ancestry.  What I needed to find out is what happened after 1881 to Elizabeth and her two girls
I appreciate your input.
