Thanks for all replies. I did find a website for trainers and jockeys for the 1800s but it only named the winning horse, jockey and trainer. I am interested in 1890-2. He, ie Walter James Gubby was named in the 1891 census and other docs as being trainer or jockey, living at Epsom. 1894 he was a turf reporter. His son Walter William was a groom.

Does anyone know if any historic records are kept for trainers and jockeys particularly at Epsom. Prob 1900s.

Have been trying for ages to resize this file and still don't know if ok. Not as sharp a pic as other but perhaps someone can tweek it a bit. Thanks again.
