Surrey / William Smith B 1890

Hi,  I have previously asked for help with Hubbies Grandfather William Smith,  now have the 1921 Census which states he was born 1890 Bagshot,  Surrey,  I cannot find a Birth the only birth I can find on GRO  SMITH, WILLIAM       BAKER
GRO Reference: 1890  M Quarter in CHERTSEY  Volume 02A  Page 5

The Baker Mother would add up but not Chertsey but as do not know the area, could Bagshot come under Chertsey for Registration District?

At the time of Census he was living with the in laws at 13 Winter Avenue, East Ham with wife Doris Mabel and child William James (The oldest Son born 1919).

William and Norah married in Woking.

I have put posts before re hubbies Grandfather,  well something has come to light that is a strong possibility but I need help with as so much wrong on Censuses etc.

This is the Scenario,  One of my Hubby's matches is Descendant of Ernest Smith, Parents Rhoda and Silas Smith, Silas was born in Amersham, 1847.  Ernest had a brother called William b 1890 who I believe could be hubbies Grandfather,  the match said her mum had told her this,  William was know by the family apparently as William Brown (changed his name) no questions were asked but they suspect due to a previous Marriage (this would perhaps fit in) When I looked up (if the correct one) he Married a Norah Churn in 1912 but she died in 1915 I think,  Hubbies  Grandfather William married his Gran in 1916 so possible then he left in 1933 from Marital home in East Ham, Essex.  I am trying to piece together to see if absolutely correct to be Hubbies Grandfather. William Brown (Smith) apparently resided in Bordon, Hampshire with partner Rose who they believe he never married, they had a son Dennis,  which is strange as Hubbies Father is a Dennis Smith.  People have said the attached photos are of the same Person but many years apart.

Hi can any experts find anything on Hubbies Grandfather William Smith born between 1891/94 don't know where born,  but lived in East Ham from at least 1916.

on Marriage Cert it had him as a Bombardier in the R H A,  but when looking up on 1918 East Ham absent voters role it had him as a Gunner in the 112th A.A.S, R.G.A.  no 191647 (which does not bring him up) but am told they used same numbers for different people.

If anyone can help would be so grateful,  Sue

I am struggling to find Death and any marriages,  what is difficult seems to be on Ancestry births both as Laurence and Lawrence,  mum is Doris Mabel Wilding.  Anyone find anything please.  We did not think he was married but found a couple under Laurence and Lawrence.  Smiths are a pain lol.
