Hi lancsann, thanks for the information that confirms what we've found out. We first picked Henry, Margaret and Mary up on the 1851 census along with Jeremiah and Henry who were born in Liverpool. We can't find them on the 1841 so guess they were still in Ireland. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the information Garstonite. We were excited to find we have Liverpool /Irish ancestors, now we feel like we're going round in circles, we haven't any ideas whereabouts in Ireland they came from, nor do we know the Liverpool area so background info is interesting.......... Oh Kaths my sister!  Mo.

Hi Greenvale. My sister knows about your post and will contact you after work. We are the great, great granddaughters of Hannah Burley and Thomas Cattell. Our great grandfather was James Alfred Cattell who married Caroline Wood 1st July 1888. We know nothing about James Alfred Cattells siblings apart from their names,  but are aware that Hannah remarried when Thomas died.  The Cattells are our paternal line.

My maternal grandmothers second name was Grace and grandads Benjamin,  I now know both names go back several generations, and I love both names..........Then there's Theodosia on another line....oh dear.

Same here for me, I also remarried  in 1978. Slightly off Topic....We later had a son and he had to be registered using my previous married name,  no mention of my maiden name. Was I annoyed? You bet!  And I still am.

My grandmother was buried at Yardley Cemetery in 1965. The cemetery is quite close to Sparkhill. I do know they allow interment of ashes into graves. There is also Witton,  further away though, where my other gran was buried in 1968.
