World War One / Albert Wood Ballincollig Cork 1914
« on: Thursday 21 January 21 00:48 GMT (UK)  »
Hi
I am trying to find the records of Albert Wood he was a British Soldier stationed in Ballincollig Cork Ireland in 1914, he was born around 1896 given a year or two he Married an Anne Kelleher in 1914 in Cork and it was stated he was a minor (under the age of 21 ) at the time, his father was Edward Wood.
I cant seem to find anything for him, I believe the 24th brigade of the Royal Fiels Artillery were based in Ballincollig at that time .
Thanks

Yes that's them think that's an error the fathers name

Is this the marriage you mean? Even though Patrick’s father is shown as Thomas? Is that an error?

Hi Heywood,
Yes it is the Same Patrick Hannah lived a few doors down from him and they married on Feb 2nd 1913 I'm trying to find death records for them both but can't find them,Hannah was Johannah on her marriage papers.

Who are Patrick and Hannah?
Is that the Patrick who is in the 1911 census you posted?
Do you have their marriage? Any children? Any place?

It helps if you give the information you already have.

I'm Trying to work backwards from Patrick Shea and his wife Hannah but cant find any death records for them Heywood

Can you work back from that descendant ?
Where were they born - parents etc.

Your earlier searches are in the same locality so maybe look for marriages.

I have a dna match with a descendant of Patrick Shea and I'm trying to find out who my ancestor was Heywood, trying to find the common ancestor

They all stayed in the area as far as I know Heywood

Did they all stay in Ireland - in the same area?

So what do you know of any of them in later life - your connections?
