Welcome to Rootschat  :D

A tough nut to crack re his burial isn't he!  Have you considered contacting Doncaster City Council.  They do searches but it will be expensive as the date is before 1995. However if you know the exact date he died they may be able to find it faster.

I don't know if there may be anything in a local newspaper re his death which may state where he is   buried.  Local library perhaps for that.

Then one wonders why they bothered to put that information on Family Search if they aren't willing to receive messages from anyone.  ???

Interesting.  Some time ago when you were searching family trees on Family Search there was the option to contact the person who did the tree.  That information doesn't seem to exist any more.

It is just the name of the ancestor with a number attached. That therefore makes it difficult to follow up on that ancestor.  To me it seems pointless to put ancestor information without any means of contacting the originator for further information.

Going by Ashtone's information there is this birth:-

SPIERS, ALBERT  SYDNEY     TAYLOR
GRO Reference: 1900  S Quarter in BIRMINGHAM  Volume 06D  Page 100

As you can see has a second name of Sydney, so may not be the correct Albert.

Did he work for the LMS railway company?  If so the below may help give you some pointers for further information:-

If the family I have found is correct then this is his birth registration:-

DUNN, HENRY       LUMBARD
GRO Reference: 1892  S Quarter in BARTON REGIS  Volume 06A  Page 52

Presumably known as Harry by the family.

Is this the correct Harry in 1901?  He is stated as being aged 8 and born in 1893.

Living at 50, Lower Garnett Street, Bristol, Gloucestershire

Parents William and Mary

Registration district Bristol
Piece number 2360
Folio 141

Not getting anywhere at the moment.

I am intrigued at the discrepancy between the CWGC info stating that he was 27 but if you check the gravestone it gives his age as 23.  He was either born in 1892 or 1896.

There is a medal card available from the National Archives for £3.50 but how much information it will give I don't know.

I've just found this:-

If Harry was one of eight children then has anyone traced all his siblings and their descendants?

Just for information at the moment:-

CLANCY, MARY  ELLEN     FITZGIBBON
GRO Reference: 1863  J Quarter in WESTMINSTER  Volume 01A  Page 320

She has a second name which may be useful for tracking purposes.
