Monmouthshire Lookup Requests / Marriage lookup request - Price & Williams

Hi there!

I'm looking for help again, this time for a marriage.

My gt-grandfather Joseph Price married Sarah Williams - I know this as it is on my grandfather's birth cert.

However, I cannot find any info on where or when they married - the marriage cert will give me their father's names and occupation and with Price and Williams, as you all know, you need all the help you can get!

Joseph and Sarah's first child was born in 1900, so I guess their marriage was shortly before that.  In the 1901 census they are living in Princess Street, Abertillery - Joseph was born in Abertillery and Sarah was born in a place that is hard to read, but could be Nantyglo.  Therefore they could have been married in these towns.

In 1881 I have gt-gt-grandmother Elizabeth Alford (don't know what her maiden name was yet) living with first husband John Alford and 4 children, Isaac, Lizzie A, John and William in Rhymney, Mon.

In 1901 Elizabeth is with 2nd husband (& my gt-gt-grandfather) David Williams with children Isaac and John from first marriage as well as Emily, Thomas and Edward from 2nd marriage - still living in Rhymney.

I cannot find out anything for 1891 - although she must've remarried as Emily and Thomas are born in 1887 & 1889, so I would expect to find Elizabeth, David with Isaac & John as well as Emily and Thomas (it's possible that William died?).

Can anyone please help?

Monmouthshire / Prices of Abertillery - help sought!

I am searching for my grandfather's family.  His parents were Joseph Price (aged 25 in 1901 census) and Sarah (nee Williams, aged 23).  Joseph was born in Abertillery, Monmouthshire and Sarah in Nantyglo, Monmouthshire.

In 1901 they are living in the Underhouses in Princess Street, Abertillery with their eldest son Clifford L (possibly Lewis) aged 10 months.

They went on to have 8 more children Thomas, Phyllis, Clarice, Leslie, Albert, Leena, Olive and Nancy.

In 1909 on the birth of my grandfather (Leslie) they are still in Princess Street.  After that at some point the family broke up, Clifford and Thomas to Nottinghamshire (we think), Phyllis & Clarice went into service and Leslie, Albert and Leena were sent to the Cottage Homes in Tredegar.

That is the sum total of my info - does anyone here know anything about this family?

Nottinghamshire / Does anyone have info on Clifford Price or Thomas Price who moved from Wales?

I'm searching for details on brothers Clifford Price (born 1900 in Abertillery, Monmouthshire) and Thomas Price (born ca1902 also in Abertillery).

I'm told they moved to the Nottinghamshire area, I guess around 1920.

They are the brothers of my grandfather Leslie and the family has lost touch with them.
Their parents were Joseph Price (aged 25 in 1901 census) and Sarah (nee Williams) aged 23 in 1901 census.
