Hi Wiggy, thank you, they look great.  :)

Hello,

here is a scan of another of my unidentified pictures. This one is on fairly thick card (about the same as a beer mat). The back is blank.

My guess is that it is a member of the Parker or Burns family who lived in Chatham, Kent.

Most of the other pictures that I have are from 1910 onwards. I would be interested in knowing the date of this one if anyone is able to date it.

Thanks
Ian.

Hi Carol,

here is the rear of the post card. If the picture is who I think it is, it will date from about 1920.

Hello Carol, Yvon, and japeflakes,

thank you all for your efforts, what an amazing difference.

I will post a scan of the back of the card when I get home.

Thanks again.

Hello,

I have a family photograph which appears from the clothing to be from around 1910-1920. The odd thing is that it is colour. Is this likely to have started life as a black and white image and then been coloured by hand, or could it be an early colour photo?

I imagine that colour photography was expensive at the time and was probably not affordable by my family.

Thanks
Ian.

Hello, my first post here.

At Christmas my father brought along a carrier bag containing old family photos. Some are marked and dated, others like this one are not. I have spent many evenings since Christmas investigating our family tree - this is addictive!

The image attached is possibly my grandmother and her sister, Celia Parker and Louie Parker. Is it possible to improve this at all?

It may date from around 1910.

The back of the photo is a standard post card.

Any help or hints greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Ian.
