Technical Help / Re: Alcatel U3 mobile

Falkyrn's link to the pdf mentions Bluetooth which is an easy straightforward method of exchanging files between devices, but the website I checked doesn't list Bluetooth for your phone, never mind if that's the case, direct cable connection or Wi-Fi will do it.

Just in case you want to know all the spec, it's here.   I had a quick read and there's no Bluetooth but there is Wi-Fi so your pc or laptop needs wi-fi to find each other and transmit / upload files.   OR, you can get a cable with a standard USB for your computer and a micro USB for your phone and do direct file transfers.  Your Operating System is Android 6 so if you Open Settings, you will see Wi-Fi and Networks and Connectivity ... ensure it is switched on and the same on your computer, one of them will offer the opportunity to Find other devices and Handshake ( make themselves known to each other) you may have to create a Password but once they are set up you can SEND from the Mobile and /or fetch/open from the computer. Hope this is helpful

Caithness / Re: Bluequoy

It's all in the pronunciation ... the use of quoy indicates Norman French usage, which is foreign to Caithness.  Pictish, Norn or Viking  or even Western Isles Gaelic placenames abound in Caithness.

Ayrshire / Re: Hugh Alexander

I knew Hugh Alexander of Stevenston, Ayrshire, probably born about 1945 who unfortunately died about 5 years ago.  I knew him from tenpin  bowling at Saltcoats in the 1960s and last met him at Ardrossan Indoor Bowls club where he was a member, about 6 years ago.
