Joseph Reilly (dock labourer) and Mary Catherine Ennis marry on 18 Sept 1925 in St Vincent de Pauls Church in Liverpool. Joseph is 25 years old, born on 15 Mar 1900 in Co. Laois, Ireland. He dies on 19 Apr 1977 in the Royal Southern Hospital, Liverpool. His death certificate states his usual address as 9 Greenheys Heights, Liverpool.

I have a death certificate which I strongly believe is that of Mary Catherine, although is says Mary Elizabeth (maiden name Ennis). Her date of birth on the death certificate is 21 Aug 1902, in Liverpool. Furthermore, the death certificate states that she is widow of Joseph Reilly, dock labourer.  Her usual address is given as 9 Heysmoor Heights, Liverpool.

In the 1939 Register on FindMyPast, I find Joseph Reilly, with the correct DOB, living alone, at 5 Dwerryhouse Street, Liverpool.

I seem to be unable to find Mary Elizabeth/Mary Catherine in 1939. Can anyone of you help?

Thank you all, especially Suzard for finding the right census reference in 1881 (RG11 3634 61 24
). However, the original question still stands as I still seem unable to find the couple John and Sarah Moore in 1891 (or 1901, 1911).

On 2 June 1879, John Moore and Sarah Ann Fagan marry in St Vincent de Paul in Liverpool.
I find a couple John Moore and Sarah Ann in the 1881 census, in Liverpool; they have three children, two of whom must have been before their marriage. I am uncertian whether this is the correct couple, although the area where they live fits with their marriage church.
Furthermore, I am unable to find them in later censuses.

Any help will be gratefully accepted.

Could I ask you one more favour which would help me in unraveling the Fagan-story?

I would very much like to know the baptism dates and churches of Terence Fegan, born in the first quarter of 1854, and of Henry Fegan, born in the second quarter of 1852, to the parents Arthur Fegan and Catherine McClory.
