Immigrants & Emigrants - General / Rotterdam - 1910 - Passenger Lists Query
« on: Wednesday 22 August 18 15:48 BST (UK)  »
Are there passenger lists for ships leaving Rotterdam in 1910?  In particular I am looking for the passenger list for the Uranium leaving Rotterdam in February 1910 bound for Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.  I have the Halifax passenger list but looking for the Rotterdam list to confirm my research.

Thanks

I'm having trouble finding Calgary obituaries from the 1990's online. Could someone point me to a source or if you have access, could you look up obituaries for a Claude Baker who died March 20, 1992 and Hilda Baker who died May 31 1993.

Thanks Linda

Ireland / Re: Reynolds Migrated to Canada - Looking for Parish

To aghadowey:

There wasn't much take-up on the Derry forum so I reposted on the Ireland forum so see if more information would be forthcoming.

Thus the two posts.

I have no real data to suggest that the Derry references were to my family except for the first name commonality.

Thanks all

To eileenwilson, the Samuel Reynolds (wife Francis) is listed as a gentleman - my ancestors were laborers, ship's carpenters, joiners so I don't think they were the same family.  I haven't had any luck with grave records so will keep digging on that front.

All the best, Linda

Ireland / Reynolds Migrated to Canada - Looking for Parish
« on: Wednesday 10 May 17 04:10 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to track down the parish / village for my 3rd Great-Grandfather.  His name was James Reynolds, born in Ireland around 1799, married Elizabeth Campbell around 1825 and had a son Samuel born 1827 in Ireland.  They emigrated to Canada around 1830 and had a daughter Ann in 1832 (my 2nd great-grandmother) and a son James in 1836. They were Church of Ireland.

Does anyone have any information about this family that might help me determine the parish or village of origin?

Thanks for any help.

Derry (Londonderry) / Reynolds -Desertlyn Parish

I've done some research that shows Reynolds families in Ballymully and Carrandarragh townlands in the Desertlyn parish in the 1831 census with first names James and Samuel. They were Church of Ireland.

Does anyone have any information about these families that would help determine if they might be the fit for my family in Canada?

Thanks for any help.

Here is the crop of the child  that I think might be my grandfather.  I had issues with previous post.
