Also FYI George Murray Dickinson was born in Ealing, Middlesex in 1818.  He married Mary Milsom in St George, Hanover Square, London (I think) and he also married Jane Dalby in the church too.

Interestingly, after the death of his second wife Jane, her (and his!) daughter Fanny Jane went to live with another family member, i assume when he met his 3rd wife.

Hi,

My 3x Great Grandfather George Murray Dickinson married Mary Josephine Eliza Milsom in 1843, and baby Mary Josephine was born in 1844.

Sadly mother Mary JE died in 1844, and I cannot find a subsequent record of baby Mary after this. I also can't find George Murray on the 1851 Census.

George subsequently married Jane Dalby in 1855, she also sadly died, and finally married Emma Eliza Watson in 1861. I have details on the families from these two marriages.

But what happened to baby Mary Dickinson born 1844? Any help greatly appreciated.

Yep, and that's my problem!

But I'm narrowing it down. I'm getting lists of Patrick John's born in Scotland in 1917, that are within close distance of either Glasgow or Edinburgh (I've ruled out Glasgow now as the 3 Patrick John's have named fathers, also Edinburgh as there are no Patrick Johns born there.)

Hopefully I'll get there.🤞

Yes, we're pursuing that line too but I think from all angles the birth cert is the missing piece of the jigsaw

Pierce brought him back to ireland, to Woodenbridge and Arklow, in Co. Wicklow. At some stage, I assume around the second marriage, Patrick went to live with famy of Pierce's first wife in Tipperary.

Thank you for that, that is very useful in that it most likely rules out this Patrick Perkins as an option. My Patrick Perkins died in 1989.

Thanks all. Yes, I know a lot about Pierce Perkins, it's Patrick Perkins that is new to me and where the mystery lies. He is definitely also a son of Pierce Perkins, and not from either of Pierce's marriages. His family believe he was born in Glasgow Scotland on 3/3/17, but we don't know the mother. So my quest is to confirm his birth record and find out the mother.

I have found online (findmypast) a birth record of a Patrick Perkins in 1919, mother Gregory, born in Kent, which is actually where Pierce Perkins had lived, but this Patrick has a middle initial D, whereas my Patrick had a middle initial J. So this is probably a long shot. Nonetheless I will see can I get this full birth cert to see if this may be the one I'm looking for.

Yes, I know all that - 1921 was his second marriage. The key blank I have is the birth cert for Patrick Perkins

Thanks Iolaus and Aghadowey. Unfortunately Anne Smith, his wife of 1921, is not the mother of Patrick :(
