Looking for info on the children of John Brown Morton and his wife Mary Jane. They had four known children, Edgar, Thomas, Doris and John. All were born early 1900's. Do parish records exist for their baptisms in Manchester.

Thanks Laurina

Great that's her. ;D

One of Beatrice sisters was on stage too and would have travelled with her

I believe her sister Isabel went to NY to collect her nephew at some point as there was illness in the family. Maybe between 1917-25

Isabel Liddell was born 2/1/1880. Possibly Ethel Liddell visited too b. 1876 and also Dora Liddell born 1889. Alice b.1884

Your a star Sandra, I'm amazed you've found so much.

I've never been able to find the marriage. I believe Margaret went to New York with her sister and were performers of some kind. Margaret's family were from Northumberland, England and were wealthy. I can't find a record for her travelling to New York prior to her marriage. I assumed she might have married in New York as her son was born there.

Excellent - you're doing really well sorting this family out. Thank you. I can hardly believe all the links you've come up with in such a short time. Well done.

That's really interesting Sandra, I didn't even consider ww2 records. It gives his date and place of birth which is useful as I had no idea about him.

Thank you

Hi Sandra,

Wow, that's great. Thank you very much.

Margaret married earlier than I thought and her husband was much older than I expected. I knew her son was christened in Northumberland but he was clearly older than I expected, maybe the date I have for him was his christening date.

Is there any way I could find either a marriage for them or a birth for Frederick Russell? - I'd like to know more about his family.

Looking for a marriage in New York around 1912. Frederick Adams Russell married Margaret Beatrice Liddell.

Also looking for this family in the 1920 census - by then they had at least one son, William Adams Russell b.6/6/1917 in Bridgewater, Long Island, New York. Margaret came from England.

Any information on this family would be great.  Thanks.
