Ok that's great. Don't suppose we can find out how long it was a stable?
 Now we need to see if there is a link between John Ridley and our William (Dobson?) Ridley born in Craghead in 1855/6 son of Thomas Ridley and Elizabeth Dobson.
We also need to find out if there is any link between Frank Atkinson born in Yorkshire 1924 who was curator of beamish museum? Maybe there is a link between him and Our Mary Ridley born 1883 in Pelton who in 1909 married Robert Atkinson born 1883. They had a daughter mary born 1910 or 11? Not sure if any other siblings.

We already have the 1911 census and earlier ones. Meggie stoker was born in June 1883/4 and died June 1968 mistranscribed as Maggie. On 1911 census aged 27 married to Ralph Lumsden born in pelton fell. 1911 living with parents at 16 south row newfield south Newcastle upon Tyne. 1939 census it's under Ralph Lumden living with meggie and I other locked. Assumed jean.  That address was 1 fitzwell beamish wood r, he was a colliery horseman and meggie doing domestic duties.

Thanks for your help, fingers crossed someone can help with the address of Meggie/Maggies death otherwise we might have to buy the birth certificate. You seem to be a lot quicker at all of this than us beginners. At least we have found a few more names today. Next to move on to Meggie and Ralphs children. Only two children 15 years apart... now to work out what happened there.

Ah. I wondered why he was missing in 1901. How did you manage to trace him so quickly. So do we agree on Mary Annes parents or maybe John was her father? Im just guessing that though!

My mum has ben asking about Meggie Lumsden. That sounds right that you have found her as Maggie Lumsden who died in June 1968 Durham N. 1a406. What we are trying to find out her address when she died. Is there a way we can do that?

the Mary A stoker possible death 29 June 1924 10a552 sounds promising. Can I view that somehow to see who the parents were? I didn't understand the bit about Meggie being from a first marriage? As far as I was aware her mother was Jane Joanna Stoker 1860-1910? How can you tell if they Jane Joanna and William divorced?

Sorry yes I meant 1901. Ive lost the plot! I checked out the possible marriages and found a match with James McClelland but he married an Mary Ann Stoker 28 Sept 190 whose father was called John. In 1901 she was only 6 and living at home with William Stoker 43 and Jane Joanna Stoker 41, Jane Stoker 23 and Meggie Stoker 17. Theres a bit of an age gap from 17 to 6 in those days that's unusual. I assumed William and Jane Joanna are her parents but beginning to wonder maybe if they are not?

so I assume if I look on a census 1861 or 1871 I should be able to see William Dobson Ridley of 1855 had any siblings too. :)

ah ha, thanks I will try and figure that out. Assume I need to check on the 1905 census if they are a match?
