Armed Forces / Absent Voters Lists c.1918
« on: Friday 21 March 08 10:44 GMT (UK)  »
I've heard of Absent Voters Lists, being lists of soldiers serving at the front and therefore not at home (I think)

I'm trying to find an Albert H Bird from New Cross, London SE14 who was in France 1917/18.

Please can anybody tell me where I might find the list so that I can check and what information I might find on the list.

Thank you

Census and Resource Discussion / PC based genealogy package
« on: Sunday 23 September 07 16:52 BST (UK)  »
Although I use a PC often and regularly in connection with my family history, I've never tried to find a package which I could use to load all of my data and which VITALLY would have the facility to print out either the full "family" tree of sections of it.

Does anybody know where I could take the "fully loaded" database and have it printed off on what would have to be a massive piece of paper (I'm back many many generations in some places.

Any advice GREATLY appreciated.
