Hi I'm so sorry I haven't got back on about my post. Tonight  I found out my nan and pop have both passed and I'm devastated that I never got to meet them. With the help of a fab group that search they found them for me. I found out my nan changed her name by depol to Diana Anna Pols née Forti, when she married Johannes Leonardus Pols born April 30 1930c dianna passed in Victoria in 2006 and Johannes passed in 2010. I haven't been able to find out where Diana ( which is her birth name, not deanna, which was on her immigration papers) was born or if she had brothers or sisters.
With Sidney he passed in 2005 I'm not sure if his wife Josepine née Weboter is alive. I would really love any info any one can supply.
Atm I feel so bummed as I wasn't expecting to find they had passed and I'm devastated I never met them. I'm happy Sidney is close so I can visit his grave and Diana is a short flight away. I will get new info together and post. Ty everyone for your help so far

Please help me find my Nanna. I know she married my grand father who I've never meet, named Sidney Bates, born Jan 28 1928.  I know Deanna was born in December 1930 I think in Italy. They married in 1949 in Egypt and had 2 children, Michael Augustus Bates  in 49 and my mumma Lynn Dianna Bates in July 1951. The family immigrated to Australia in 1951 on the ss Cameronia and arrived in Perth Western Australia in 52. Sidney and Deanna seperated soon after and my mum and uncle went into an orphanage and Sidney re married . I really want to meet Deanna but unsure where she is, and thinking she went home to Italy. Any help would be great. Ty
