Ladyhawk, that all seems to fit.

I wish I knew what George Henry Thomas Walpole and Francis H T Hammon were doing living with katherine in wansworth.

Especially Francis as he lived with her for a long time it seems. I can't find a will for him though in the probate register to see if there is any connection :-(

Thank you  :)

If only Katherine has left a will

I cannot see one on the probate site.
Do ALL wills go on there?

Hi Rosie99

where did you find that?

I had found the death register as Q1 1967?

Birth certificate arrived for Maurice  :)

Parents John Smith Sharpe and Katherine Sarah Tanner.
I don't know if smith is a middle name or surname as they name is three separate words in a column on the certificate. I think it is a middle name.

So it looks like the right people.
Nowif I could just find out what happened to Maurice and his brother....

update,

Well I left a message with the funeral directors who passed it to the lawyer.

He called me  and we had a chat and he said he would pass on my details to the relatives after the funeral, which is mid feb.

So now I have to wait to see if they get in touch.

I hate waiting!   :(

I found an announcement of her funeral online and so I have left a message with the funeral directors asking if he could pass my contact details on to the family. He didn't sound too thrilled at the prospect so I am not sure what sort of message they will get  ???

I also left a message on the online funeral advertisement leaving my email addess.

I guess I just have to cross my fingers and hope they get in touch...  :(

Such a shame.

I hate to think there my be documents or photos there relating to my family.

The neighbour won't have any interest in them and will probably just bin it all.

I presume she doesn't want me to get in touch as she thinks I am after money or something, but I am far too far down the tree for that!

I'm absolutely devastated I didn't get to meet her. She was my oldest living relative born early 30s. Soooo gutted I didn't get to speak to her.  I wish I had ignored the neighbour now and gone down to see her back in October when I first traced her! So frustrating :-(
