I have contacted Tony (Murrato 1) offline with information about Noel and the Davies, in case it involves people who are still living. If I am correct, then the photo would date from late 1928 or early 1929.
Perhaps Tony will post here to confirm or otherwise.

Ticketty, I’m with you! :)
I “lurk” on this board a lot, and enjoy seeing the range of photos posted, and especially enjoy seeing what the restorers can do.

If you can find when Noel was born, then you will have a date for the photo, as he is no more than one year old.
Maybe Noel died as a child, or was christened with one name and known by another - some thoughts on why he is not in your tree.

Certainly finishes with LDIER and starts with S.
Could be an old spelling of SOLDIER

It looks like SOLDIER, but it would be best to see more of the document to compare letter formation.

The man in the other photo is about mid to late 20s.
He has broader shoulders and a slightly bigger physical build than this man in the wedding photo.
Same family but different generation?

I agree - 1920s.

It looks like the soldier is in a Scottish regiment. Once you have posted a larger photo, and it has been restored, it might be possible to see his cap badge for further identification.
