Im having no luck furthering this connection.
marriage to Mary Demaine of Bolton parish of Skipton was 19.4.1756 at Bolton Abbey but he was from Linton.
Can't see baptism for Ellen off hand.
I found a birth record for an Ellen ,father Richard and mother Mary, but 30 years too late!
No joy with any details on Mary Demaine either. Im not in a position to buy certs and doubt that they would reach me by mail in Vietnam; nothing else has!
Apart from buying the certs I need is there some other course I might pursue that could help pin these folk down? I skipped forward to Charles the father of Thomas to see what I could winkle out of the Watermans life, cant be certain but a coot of the same name and trade got nicked for grand larceny, whipped and did porridge for flogging 10 shillings worth of paper he had swiped.

Richard Fell innholder of Grassington buried at Linton in craven 4.7.1770 and there is a possible will at York.
Where might I locate this will please?.
Battling on. Thanks greatly for your help and expertise.
Richard.

Done the delving , Newspaper archives have some juicy tales, but my boy must have been a tad trivial.
If suicide, murder and mayhem is your thing, you wont be disappointed there.

Had this return to a query I posted to a private tree, with Wednesbury connection re likelihood of a link to Roberts family at Rushall. Was seeking to verify if John Roberts wed to Thornhill was  my man.

Hi Richard
I have checked with my Roberts family tree and although very local to me, they are not from the same family.
Sorry I can't be of more help to you.
Regards
**** Roberts, Wednesbury, UK

Thanks Phil, Ive looked at numerous public and private trees linked to the many variant spellings of this name and come up empty, most trees are in US and some on continent but nothing that I can connect to my boy.
The off spring of his son have no knowledge of nor much interest their Grandad  either.
Documents per LDS FH in Cambodia is my best hope, a long and not too comfortable journey from here.
