Hi.
Can anyone help.  Looking for Joseph and Ann WEEDON. They were married in Isleworth in 1827 but I believe the family drifted towards Walton. The 1851 census  may show that one of his children was called Charles. Although Charles would have been 22 years old he may still be at home. He did not marry until he was 30.  Hoping census will show birth place of Joseph and Ann.
Many thanks.

Please excuse my ignorance.

Hi.
Still looking for any info on Joseph Weedon who married Ann Alderman in Dec. 1827. In the parish records for All Saints, Isleworth both are shown as 'of this parish'. However I cannot trace the birth of Joseph. Nearly all of their children were born in Walton on Thames . I was hoping that Josephs birth place would show up on a census 41/51/61. for either Isleworth or Walton.

Hi Debs

I would agree we both have the right James.  The 1881 census reads as follows:-

James Simpkins  Head  Mar   Male   59  Westminster Middx England   Chimney Sweep.(therefore, James born in 1822)

Emma Simpkins  Wife  Mar  Female  45  Westminster Middx England

James Simpkins  Son  Male  8   Westminster   Middx  England   Scholar  (this is my James Henry)

Charles P Simpkins  Son  Male  6 Westminster Middx England Scholar

Source of Information:-

Census Place. London Middx England

Marriage Record for James & Emma 1873:-

EVANS, EMMA 1873 June Marriages Greater London London Surrey 1d604
SIMPKINS JAMES 1873 June Marriages Greater London London Surrey

Not sure if this is of any help at all.  This is getting very interesting.

Hi Debs.
I do not have the exact date in1873 of my grandfathers birth.

The James Simpkins I have definitely died in 1899 at the age of 78 years.  (1d 427).
If your James was deceased by 1877, we must have two different James Simpkins.

Would it be possible that your James shown on the marriage certificate of Henry could have been a fib.  If James had dumped Rachael for Emma could it be possible that Henry would have no more to do with him?  Or am I getting carried away.
