Yes it was a large car and I remember it had problems getting out the end of my road at it was a tight turn.

That was my brides car when I married, it was a beautiful shade of deep blue.

One of my direct ancestors was illegitimate, in fact his mother had 2 children before her marriage.  I thought nothing of this until a few years ago I came across another set of marriage banns for her.  They were from before the birth of her 1st child and they were to the man she later married.

So I will always be wondering what happened, were they his children, if they were I could have grown up with a completely different surname.  A question which will only be answered by a DNA match.

Currently because of home working I can't change my browser. So I'm stuck. Hopefully the person at the other end is patient.

Glad Iím not the only one having problems, Iíve had a new message since Friday which Iíve not managed to open yet.  Iíve clicked and waited but so far nothing has happened. Iíve rebooted my pc, and also tried opening using an iPad, currently nothing works. I was beginning to think it was a Ďghostí message.

Sorry I was called away.

Richard Teague is shown as a Widower on the marriage register, although I'm pretty certain he lied about his age, made himself a little younger.

The Robert & Emma you found in 1871 is the census ref I gave you.  He is a baker. The child with them Mary Jane, if you look for her birth you will find its Salford but no mmn is given.

Once again I think I have them in 1861 but his occupation is a Dyer while Emma is born in London, but this might be an accent thing, yet again they have a child with them -  Sarah Jane Lancashire Born c1846 in Durham.  I've checked the birth and I believe the mmn is POLLARD.

If this is them then its possible that the marriage to Emma was a second marriage for him and that the daughter they have with them on 1871 census is in fact his granddaughter.  As Sarah Jane Lancashire marries in 1865, its possible to view the register online.

The marriage looks promising but other than purchasing the certificate there is no way of really knowing.  Another one to put on my list.
