I have not read past posts as you say they won't help.

When/where was his wife Mary Taylor born & when/where was she buried.

Where and when did she marry Andrew.

Do you have her on census if so when/where.

Were there any other children born to the couple after Ralph.

She was born in Sunderland and I don't know when she died or where they were married.

They had a son Peter in Sunderland 1799 who died in 1800.

Then Ralph Taylor Anderson born/bapt in Robinson's Lane Presbyterian church 1815.

Can't find any information after 1815. No children, no deaths etc

Then Ralph suddenly appears on the 1841 census without his parents

I'm asking for his DEATH.

The first thread was a possible mispelling, the second thread was confusion over lerwick NOT being in the orkney's, the third thread was about a physical handwriting interpretation. Each thread is a DIFFERENT question about the same person.

What is so difficult to grasp?

There is no "repeating efforts others have done", I have NEVER asked this question

Because of this document, the birthplace of the father looks like "Larwick"

Possible misspelling of Lerwick

Andrew Anderson, mariner, possibly born in Shetland

Had a son Ralph Taylor Anderson in 1815 in Sunderland.
When Ralph was married in 1855, his father was deceased.

Spouse was called Mary or Margaret Taylor

I've tried everything, ready to give up!

Ancestral Family Tree DNA Testing / Re: Has anyone tried Living DNA?

I have used LivingDNA ... specifically for an ethnicity check as they advertised a more detailed breakdown of UK ethnicity than other companies. Their breakdown of my heritage confirmed information my uncle had obtained (and disputed  ::) )from a different company

Is it good for tracing your fathers line? Do they give good info on your Y-DNA type?

I already know who I'm related to. I don't see the point in the Ancestry test

I want to study my ydna and mtdna so I can find out what groups I belong to

I'm looking for a good DNA company, I preferably want to know about my Y-DNA and go into detail about halopgroups etc

I'm a newbie

Ancestry only seems to tell you that you are "80% European" etc which I find a bad deal
