In 1901 they are written as Rear :

I'll type it up if you need.

Providing I'm not wrong, he doesn't appear to be with the rest of his family - who were living in the household of a George Welbourn in Great Ponton at the time :

RG13/3052, Folio 142, Page 1.

If you would like the full details, that won't be a problem. :)

Hi Naffi girl,

If this is Leonard and he was born in Great Ponton, there's a good chance he wouldn't have been born at the time of the census :

Birth, Sep qtr 1901
Leonard Oswin
Grantham, Vol 7a, page 466

Kind regards,

Pels.

Aaahh !! I couldn't find the above chap in 1911 - in every other census he was John 'W' Morrell.

So that still leaves this one as a contender :

So far this is the only one I can't account for :

Death, Sep qtr 1931
John Morrell, age 76
Knaresbro', Vol 9a, page 97

But that counts for nothing, I wonder what everyone else thinks ?

Typical, I've found a candidate :

https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/X9RN-KJF

John Morrell married to Anne in 1901, so no further forward.

:(

Added- Forget this and see my next reply.  Sorry.

Just to help confirm what Ian said, the following looks the most likely family to fit
the ones who are buried in Harehills Cemetery :

1891 census :
RG12/3695, Folio 5, Page 3

Yorkshire, Leeds
6, Alma Street

John Morrell, h, mar, 37, Currier, Leather, b. Burley in Wharfdale
Eliza, wife, mar, 39
Alfred, son, 14, Mechanic Apprentice
Elizabeth Ann, dau, 11
Ada, dau, 9
Arthur, son, 6

All others born in Leeds.

Unless it's a massive coincidence and at the moment, I can't see how it can be ?

He married a Ann Goodburn b.1812 from Linton-On-Ouse, and i just can't seem to push either of their lines back any further.

Hi Tim,

Sorry I can't help you with Henry at the moment, but have you seen this for Ann :

Christening: 22nd September 1811
Ann Goodburne
Parents : Joseph and Ann Goodburne
Newton upon Ouse, Yorkshire

http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/YKS/NRY/Newtonuponouse/index.html

Linton-on-Ouse comes under the above parish.

Kind regards,

Pels.
