Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / Help Reading & German Translation

Can anyone please help me translate or even just make out the letters? This was written on the back of an old family photo from a great aunt from, I believe, Kiel Germany, who moved to the states during the 1930s. This would have been from her family in Germany. The family name may have been Sammann. Thanks!

Family History Beginners Board / Military Records for British Soldier Deflected in American Revolutionary War

Can someone please point me in the right direction where to find records for British soldiers that served in the American Revolution? The soldier I am researching deflected and joined the Continentals, supposedly changing his surname. I am hoping there is an online resource with British soldier names listed? Or maybe a deflector list?
The only other information I have is the area he deflected.

This photo was found in my great great great grandmother's bible. I think it may be her husband or son, which would be my great great grandfather (I think). I need help dating and restoration, if possible, please. I know the photo is awful, sorry. My photos in this family are very limited or I would not ask. Any help is much appreciated.

This photo has the name of J.B Sullivan, who was a grandfather of mine. However I had two J.B Sullivans who were father and son. One was born 1893 and the other 1859, can anyone please help date this photo so I can figure out which grandfather this is?
