Briggate is a road running East (south of) and West (north of) alongside Kings Dyke.

A look at the Fen Ditton Parish Registers confirms there is no Matthew Flanders born
between 1640 and 1660.

Hello David,

A look at the Balsham Parish Registers shows the birth of William:
1683 Jan 11th. William son of Edward and Elizabeth.

But, there is no marriage for Edward and Elizabeth.  :(

Not much to offer but the Ickleton Parish Registers 1558 - 1995 confirm the birth of Thomas:
Jan 7th 1696/1697 Thomas Lofts son of Thomas and Mary. (Julian Calendar)

No marriages of any of the Thomas's found in Ickleton.   

One on the CFHS Marriage Licences - Sawston 1751. Could this possibly be the son of Thomas Junior?

But, also seen on Ely Diocese Marriage Licences. 1684-1811 Thomas Lofts - 1751, Castle Camps, Elizabeth.
