My ggggrandfather is stated as being born in Goodridge Hereford in the 1881 census,

His name Edward Weare b 1801

What I am trying to find out is his wife Jane I presume they were married before 1837, I have no idea of her surname, where do I start looking.

In later years the family ran a pub on Monmouth so they could have married there.

Just found my ancestor James Weare on the 1901 census and it says he was born Mone Redwick,
I know of Redwick but not sure about the Mone bit.

Have you tried its a free site to join and the members on there are very helpful, many living in Italy but have perfect English just post all the information you have and I m sure you will have many replies.
