Are there any Brown or descendants of Julia Brown of Kingsbury Episcopi Somerset England UK  and her husband john R Brown (no relation before marriage) of Marmarduke, Cornwall and Plymouth in Devon? they emigrated to America. Their children married into the Fitch, Feurth, and Rifler families.
(John was previously married and had children from his first wife). cheers gerry Brown

No there are plenty of willy and variants in somerset - Kingsbury Epsicopi is in SE somerset and Bristol NW somerset - some distance in those days on foot or horse back - although not impossible most unlikely

Ann daughter of John and Susan (nee Best) born in 1832 and I could nothing more about her.. and this appears to be why - she moved away (this seems more likely as John died in 1845)

Thank you for all those replies - the one about Ann(e)/Annie  is interesting to say the least - as I could find nothing more about her other than she was born in 1812 - but DIED in 1813 - this suggest that is wrong - or they had another child shortly after her death and its not been recorded - or I missed it

I will have to trawl back through the register to see if i have missed it - and of course check my own research

Thank you for the newspaper references - I did use to subscribe to the BNAs but gave up after I could find no more about the Wynham arms Inn - which I understand is going to re-open after it closed
cheers gerry brown

But my question really was who was Mary Prankerds as there appears to be no record in the record books of such a lady living in KE - yes the same name in nearby Langport but is that the same woman.
Also who was Edward Brown? again nothing in the records books - as far as I can see and accept that even though I have trawled over the books over a number of years I could have missed him but there is no Edward in or nearby as far as i can tell.

Yes I have and I attached it - or so i thought  - Wheelers by the way is a profession - there was a wheelwright working on the land..but Mary Prankerds, I and the archivist says it was bought by John brown Snr - Lord wyndham owned a lot of land in the area but was heavily in debt at the time and sold off many of his plots of land.. John snr also owned in his own right a large amount of land that had nothing to do with the wyndham family right in the village.
