Lancashire / Joseph Lord b1832 Rochdale
« on: Thursday 14 January 21 15:21 GMT (UK)  »
Hi I am looking for the parents of Joseph Lord b 1832c in Rochdale. Father is Joseph too but cannot find anything in the 1841 census .The Joseph born in 1832 married Ann Kenion / Kenyon in 1857 and only had one child called Joseph b 1860. Joseph 1832 died in 1887 aged 55 yrs, he was a painter.
If anyone could find his parents that would be great.

Lancashire / 1939 census lookup please

Hi would anyone be willing to have a look on the 1939 register please for an Alice A Lord living at 2 Charlotte Street, Rochdale. She has an Emily Lord living at the same address and would like to know if Emily was born in 1897. I have just ordered a death cert from the GRO for Emily, believing she had died, but it looks like she was still alive and was living in a different household to her husband.

Inverness / Inverness marriage
« on: Friday 08 January 21 21:48 GMT (UK)  »
Hi, looking for a marriage that took place in Inverness, could have been 70's or 80's, not really sure. The person is now deceased.
The lady was called Patricia Salmon at birth, born in Bolton around 1939. Patricia married Harold Greenwood in Bolton in 1958. They then divorced and remarried again twice more. They then went to live in Inverness and we have just found out she married someone else but don't know who. Patricia either married him under Salmon or Greenwood. I would be very grateful if someone could check the Scottish records.

Thankyou Moira

London and Middlesex / Nursing homes etc

A friend has a photo of her Nanna, Katherine Gillespie taken in 1939, she is in a nurses uniform holding a baby that looks to be around 7 months old. On the back of the photo it just says "Cooke's" 1939. She would love to find out where this was taken. I have searched the 1939 register and there was only one lady in Ealing born 1896. Was wondering if there were any homes or hospitals with the name of Cooke's. Any info would be welcome.

Yorkshire (West Riding) / Methodist chapel marriage banns
« on: Friday 27 September 19 11:44 BST (UK)  »
Hi I am trying to locate marriage banns from 1951/52 from Moorends Methodist chapel which is now closed. I know the records are probably at the Archives in Balby but they are closed due to a dangerous roof. I have emailed them at the council but not had a reply. I wondered if the records are held anywhere else. The marriage didn't take place as the groom did a runner.

Hi, is it possible to find records of marriage banns if the marriage didn't take place in either 1951/52 .
The banns were put in at Moorends chapel near Thorne, Doncaster. The groom did a runner days before the wedding as about to take place. Would like to know the groom's name.

Thank you
